Spun Gold: Honey Facial Cleanser

Skincare gold - straight from the hive. Our natural facial cleanser pairs a strategic blend of botanical cleansing oils with local honey, lovingly gathered from beekeepers in our small coastal community. With rolling hills of artemisia, ceanothus and vibrant California poppies - these bees eat well!

Apply a generous scoop to the face and neck. Using the fingers, gently circulate around the face and neck for one minute. Next, soak a wash cloth with warm/hot water and moderately scrub from the skin for one minute, with care around the eyes and neck. Finally, rinse the cloth clean and soak with cold water, gently buffing the face and neck for one minute.

What To Expect

This cleanser acts as a gentle but determined exfoliant, and effective hydrator. A slightly sticky consistency helps to draw impurities out of the skin layers; vanilla will buff and shine; and natural oils and nutrients balance pH. Post-cleansing, skin is left smooth, soft, and exquisitely clean. Skin should be slightly colorful from the circulation and exfoliation - leading to a rejuvenated and youthful looking complexion.

Half Moon Bay Honey - Lovingly gathered from the CA coastside, this honey has pollen from a variety of wildflowers, eucalyptus and native conifers. Kissed by the fog! Raw honey has antibacterial and antifungal properties with tons of antioxidants, enzymes, minerals, as well as phytonutrients for the skin.

UMF 16+ Certified Manuka Honey - One of nature's richest antimicrobial sources, having an extra-concentrated dose of methylglyoxal. Manuka is a natural humectant that locks in moisture, keeping your skin super soft. 

Vanilla Bean Powder (Vanilla planifolia) - Aiding in increased skin tone, Vanilla is abundant in oils that the skin just loves. The luxurious scent offers a calming effect, allowing your body to receive it’s natural beneficial properties.

Chamomile Flower Powder (Matricaria chamomilla) - This lovely powder offers a gentle exfoliation, while calming the complexion.

Grapeseed Oil (Vitnus vinifera) - A powerful base oil, high in anti-oxidant properties and rich in skin-brightening vitamin C. 

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) - With advanced molecular stability, Jojoba oil is a go-to for all skin types. Great cleansing qualities and ease of use.

Sesame Seed Oil (Sesamum indicum) - Full of vitamins E, D and B complex, Sesame seed oil has earned the title of “Queen of Oils.” While helping off set free radicals, this oil gently detoxifies the skin.

Rose, Bulgarian Essential Oil (Rosa damascena) - A scent that evokes deep love and sensuality, Rose essential oil adds various therapeutic components when applied topically or inhaled. Traditionally, this oil aids in improved skin permeability, allowing better absorption of vitamins and nutrients.

Chamomile, Roman Essential Oil (Anthemis noblis) - A small but mighty herb, Chamomile is anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and various soothing aromatherapy properties. This oil calms and balances the complexion.

Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum gradiflorum) - Aiding in the restoration of oily skin, Jasmine has circulatory and and anti-oxidant properties. The heavenly scent eases the mind and relaxes the body.

Neroli Essential Oil (Citrus aurantium) - Traditionally known for it’s calming effects, Neroli oil is praised for the intensely beautiful scent that lingers lightly on the skin.

Rosa ‘Benjamin Britton’ Powder - Grown exclusively in our garden, this David Austin rose is harvested in the early morning for optimum quality. The scent is known to aid in mood elevation and calming for the nervous system.
